Semeli Tagara was born in Thessaloniki , began experimenting in musical forms through various instruments starting at the age of 6. Took piano and cello lessons. Then came the guitar and the songwriting. Recorded an album at Sony music (2003). Opened gigs for Calexico, Red Snapper (with Ghost Note Project), Big Sleep, Thalia Zedek, Dot Allison and also 2 secret gigs with Steve Wynn (Dream Syndicate). Participates (vocals, guitar, loops) in The Bird on A Wire Project( a tribute to the music of Leonard Cohen) with David Lynch and Kostas Maginas (2011 -).Created her solo project “Transformation of Silence”(2013) , using guitars, loops, percussion , vocals and sax , an ongoing experiment. LabReany did the vicious circle: teenage years with bands (torn between guitars and drums), followed by full-on classical training up to a post-graduate degree, only to return faithfully to bands, still torn between the two instruments. She plays guitars for blues’n’roll band Million Hollers and she bangs the drums for Lmn Drmpts. A saxophone and a drumset. Station Looper. Semeli and LabReany disarm their guitars and enter a new search of sounds that connects them and make them dance. Somewhere between Morphine, jazz, electronic music rhythms and (always) the Beatles, they found each other and the result is Lmn Drmpts (read Lemon Drumpets)
